she could be an araucana or silkie cross - and I think she is quite pretty

I quite agree. Full of character, but certainly NOT ugly!

She looks very proud and haughty  She is handsome. Any foolish hen can be pretty but she has presence

My neighbour asked me to take her because she is an escape artist who flys over the 6 foot fence even with her wing clipped. I don't clip their wings because I don't want to remove their defence mechanism ie flight. I just make cages round all my veg and let them wander. She has been to check out the garden now and hasn't been any trouble yet! I wonder if she will pop next door when she gets braver!

She lays lovely blue eggs!
