Kale help!!
« on: June 24, 2012, 07:26 »
The damn pidgeons have munched their way through my cavolo nero kale
This is the first year it has happened and i even put up many of my old cds as a dangley deterent.. (to be honest the music choices were dire and no loss to my collection!)

After trawling through various seed catologue websites i think it might be too late to start more seeds off..... ??

Should i bite the bullet and order some plants online or can i still get a crop if re-sowing seed now????

Please help "O Wise Ones"....

I think you're really too late to sow now.

They might be OK as a late crop in a poly tunnel if you have access to one.

Sorry to read about your kale Petersson, but see elsewhere that you may have a pop at some late Broad Beans - good idea!

After all, you may only get them to the stage of 'mangetout', but that to me is an added bonus!

Good luck anyway!
