Mods - if these are in the wrong place, please move! And feel free to tell me off... :(
Serve in a rye-bread roll with sour cream, or with tagliatelle for a less authentic finish. Or use the mix to make burgers with a difference ........ Serves 4
250g minced pork
250g minced beef (Note - this is in theory. Often I just use one or the other depending what I have.....)
1 onion, finely chopped
2 raw beetroots, grated
1 tbsp grated horseradish
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp finely chopped dill
1 tbsp rapeseed oil
Oil, for frying
1 Heat the oven to 200C/400F/gas mark 6. Mix all the ingredients, except the oil for frying, in a large bowl, season and shape into 20 golf ball-sized meatballs.
2 Fry the meatballs for 2 minutes on each side, then bake on a tray for 15 minutes.
