Title: Feeding

Should I cut back on the amount of layers pellets I feed my girls on days that they get lots of cooked veg, pasta and rice or should they still have the same amount of pellets?

Do they need more food at this time of year?

Everything they need to keep them healthy and laying well is in the layers pellets not in any treats you give them.  Be firm and make sure they have access to pellets all day and cut back on the cooked treats or you will end up with chickens that will only eat the treats and not the pellets (a bit like children with sweets who won't eat their greens !!)  ;)

Thanks for that.  I will just let them have their treats a couple of times a week from now on.
