Where can you get wire netting that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I'm not spending £20 on a roll and the ironmonger scandalously doesn't keep it. I need it for me leaves and peas.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

buy green plastic netting instead .use sections of old hosepipe to support it .if you fone the council and ask for the old tehnis court nets or football nets they may give you them.. search suppliers of new nets locally as they dump the stuff they replace

try looking for a building site/scaffolding job nearby.  That green netting they put around to stop the debris is ideal, and as a windbrek around allotment beds.  If you speak nicely to the builders they might give it to you for free - usually £1 per metre.  Sometimes they even throw it in the skips, but you have to be quick before thgey are taken away.  We have got stacks on our site through someone aquiring it this way.  Happy hunting.

Cheers everyone - and the £20 is in the post Shaun. I got one of those bags out of a skip the other day - just didn't put 2 and 2 together.
