Was just wondering if anyone has had any success with growing Canna Plants from seed?

Whilst recently in France I gathered some seeds, they are quite big and look like a sweetpea seed.  In the past I have always bought a plant from the Garden Centre.

Any tips, suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yes, I have grown them from seed and they flowered in year one, which was a surprise.  I chitted them in the airing cupboard, just like sweetcorn, and then potted up once they had sprouted.  Kept them in a propagator, and then planted them out in late spring.  Good luck!
