Title: On Your Farm, BBC Radio 4, 0630 today.

This was about a Boer Goat farm in North East Scotland and was very interesting.  The chap was claiming that killing at about 2 years at 35Kg produced a yield of 17Kg at a price of £23, pretty good, what.   The Boer Goat tent is next to the Angora Goat tent at the Three Counties Show and I have admired these animals.  We borrowed a Boer goat billy one year and your nose directed you to him quite easily.

Definitely not roses, but he did do his designated job very well.  On the same subject we borrowed an Angora buck one year and soon after he came he was decidedly lethargic which was a worry but 5 months later we has 24 kids in a week.

It's not easy to be shattered and look pleased with yourself at the same time.
