You all have cost me a fortune ! everlasting onions, Everest strawberries which took me onto Alpine strawberries. The everlasting onions took me onto perennial kale and cabbage and tomatoes well lets not go down that road. The list is endless .....
ps , love it really :D

If you have the money you may as well spend it doing something you enjoy as they say you cant take it with you .. :)

Are you saying you haven't yet discovered the special stuffing courgettes for making Kouza? Or the very delectable Japanese Kuroda juicing carrots? ;)
Just keep reminding yourself how food nourishes body and soul.

manure, seeds, fertiliser, lime, seeds, compost etc etc etc o did I mention seeds

And we're saving for a Mantis, and more cloches, and more manure as the real stuff didn't materialise, and also I need to cut out the edges of the beds, (it was meant to be a job over Christm'u's), and the greenhouse still needs the new founds but it's so damned cold, I just ain't going to get out there, but never mind, we're going to have a new grandchild next week, so who cares..;0)))
Phew...

Money well spent though Muls! How much would you pay a fitness centre every month? And they don't give you all those lovely onions and strawberries etc etc etc!
Look on the bright side. Once you get into this more, you will be able to save more of your own seeds, so it won't cost you as much.
For instance. I put my little alpine strawberries in a huge pot 3 years ago. Last year I wanted the pot for a couple of bush tomatoes, so I transplanted the 12 little remaining strawberry plants to other planters. Late last year, underneath the bush tomatoes, I could see lots of tiny strawberry plants growing. Some of the uneaten strawbs must have dropped and self seeded, so now I need some more pots, then I will make another strawberry tower to house my alpine strawberries! ;)
Oh Growster, a new grandchild? Wonderful! Hope all goes well for them all xx

It was you who had the strawberry tower GrannieAnnie!
Thought so.
I've got a pane of glass to replace in the greenhouse, 3 square beds to refurbish, a rotting shed to replace, few more seeds I've got my eye on...
...bang goes Thursdays wages! ::)

Grans, if you need any more Alpines, just say, they're everywhere here!
Yup, younger daught in Pembury Hospital next week, for a new GC, and what a week that'll be!
And I have to confess that the plot just doesn't beckon yet, there's too much cold around...
