I have just got back from the plot....shattered and hot from digging a calabrese bed in the hot sun....but also bearing two lettuces, a handful of radishes and about 20 golf ball sized Arran Pilot spuds!
My first ever and Boy! Am I looking forward to My dinner!!!!!

Dig over the same patch for tatties next time you are down. Betya you find a few that you missed.

My Pilots are bigger than golf balls - nearly 3 times that size!
(is this a case of 'my spuds are bigger than yours' syndrome?)

Yeh, it's great. I to have harvested a small crop of first earlies that I planted in pots earlier in the year, this morning. Harvesting and eating is the best part of growing your own in my opinion :)
Size isn't everything - or so I am told :oops:
Guess what I am having for tea. :lol:
