You could also pulverize banana chips, or dehydrated strawberry, and add that to your icing sugar mix...yum

Been there before there was the internet :lol:. Spent many many hours in the library & bookshops looking for recipes for Dd when she was younger :lol:

If you have trouble finding food coloring that is gluten, nut, soy and dairy free you can always use natural dyes from things like beet root, blueberries, Concord grapes, carrots etc.

I think someone mentioned using fruit leather as sprinkles and I think that's a nice idea. You could even use small cookie cutters to cut out tiny shapes :)

Oh and if you're in to making your own jams/preserves those would do wonderfully as a "filling" for muffins or cupcakes.

I'm making myself hungry now lol.

I can tell you here and now, that the peanut butter, mayo and lettuce sandwich is to die for!

I actually used sandwich spread instead of mayo...
