You could also pulverize banana chips, or dehydrated strawberry, and add that to your icing sugar mix...yum

Been there before there was the internet . Spent many many hours in the library & bookshops looking for recipes for Dd when she was younger

If you have trouble finding food coloring that is gluten, nut, soy and dairy free you can always use natural dyes from things like beet root, blueberries, Concord grapes, carrots etc.

I think someone mentioned using fruit leather as sprinkles and I think that's a nice idea. You could even use small cookie cutters to cut out tiny shapes

Oh and if you're in to making your own jams/preserves those would do wonderfully as a "filling" for muffins or cupcakes.

I'm making myself hungry now lol.
