depends on how many your growing and how exposed your plot is,
i am planning on using fencing pins and chicken wire for supports the the bamboo canes and netting i used last year werent up to the job. But i am planting 8m long rows on a very windy site.

The canes must be firmly fixed, and if you are growing a largish amount then wood with twine is a much firmer support. I dont recommend the pea netting, its a pain to untangle the peas after the harvest

This a great way to do it

Not long after they popped up I had a visit from DD who's known as the Pea God on the allotment forums that I'm a member of, so I got the chance to point proudly at my 2" tall peas :D

Mighty oaks from little acorns grow, they say.

Not sure what oaks have to do with peas, but that's what they say!
