I am back in the UK visiting brother who is in hospital and Jim said one of the big hens died, she is (or was) about 10 months old.  He said he had a prolapse
now down to 18 hens, a turkey and Colin the cockerel

I know you rescued her Pamela, but these chickens aren't bred for a long life.  How many did you have?  Are the others okay?

3 left, the neighbour bought 12 from us.... he had them for a couple of weeks and 4 died! they were about 3 months old then.  I said to Jim that when I get back home the other 3 will be culled and put in the freezer.  They are massive

why has the word home got highlighted??
We roasted a hen that was given to us not long after we moved in, well I bbq@d it..........shoe leather was softer!!

John has a new system type thingy, and if you move your mouse over one of the highlighted words an advert pops up!  Some people find it distracting, but if it means John can still run this lovely forums at not too much of a cost to himself, then I'm all for it!

Even though these pop up thingy's are a blooming nuisance!
