Pears from cuttings

I’ve got to make some serious changes to a 3 year old pear tree as the branches are just too low for what I’m hoping for long term.

I’ve got to cut off 3 nice straight branches and was wondering if anyone had grown a pear tree from a cutting without grafting it?
