can anyone tell me how long it is before kiwi fruits trees fruit and also how do you tell whats the female an whats the male the plant is about 1 year old an is at least 5 foot tall and growing well with what likes strong leave coverage on it .

Do you have the variety called Jenny, if not you need a male and a female plant

Male and female flowers are produced on separate plants, so both are needed for fruit (borne on one-year-old wood, three to four years after planting). One male can pollinate up to eight females.

ummm  i will  have to ask mum as this is  a post for her  i'll be back

she hasnt got a clue so i'll have to check the plant tomorw and see if theres still a label on it .

i'm back the plants never had any labels on them so i cant tell you if they were jennys or not .

a freind has one as well but his is a lot smaller then my mums one , i think they brought them roughly the same time from the same garden centre but now they want to know if theres a difference between the male an female plants ?? and how long before they flower .
