First time I've tried growing these I have two kiwi Jenny plants in my cold polytunnel and they have put on good growth since I planted them, do I need to protect them over winter as the leaves look very sorry for themselves after the frosts of this week

The leaves will die off and fall, but they don't need any special protection over winter.  The only thing I would watch for is them coming into leaf early next spring as they are in a polytunnel.  It might be worth having some fleece ready in case of a sudden cold snap.
