Legumes and \Crop Rotation
« on: March 25, 2007, 22:56 »
First I'm a newby.
Looking around our allotment site, I see many high (8ft) frames with long canes tied wigwam-like, to the horizonal bar.
From what I have learnt, these must be for peas and beans - cos they told me that my feeble framework would not be strong enough)
Well I said to one of the old hands: "Do they all move those massive frames every year?"
"Why?" he asked! "To allow for crop rotation" I said.
Because I have been studying the crop rotation theory.
"OH, I don't think you need to bother with that for peas and beans" he said.

What do you think about this?  :?

That's marvellous MJ :D
Such a simple solution to what seemed like a big problem.
Thanks, Jim
