Post by: snow white on July 18, 2017, 08:46
Out of interest, how old is or was the oldest chicken you had?

I have a very healthy, still laying Welsummer who is now 5 1/5 years old.

My oldest ones are the Serama boys Foggy and Alphie, who have both just turned 7.

I still have one of my original 3 that I started with 10 years ago. 1 died aged 7, 1 died last year aged 9 and "Gem" is still going strong, she doesn't even look old. I wish I knew her secret, I could do with some of whatever it is.
