I've just got an 8x6 aluminium greenhouse from B&Q .

I asked for for polycarbonate instead of glass fot the glazing.

When I opened the glazing pack , I expected there to be 52 panes ,as in the instructions.

There were flimsy plastic sheets,which would not stand up to a gentle breeze ,and didn't

 even fit.

I rang b&q and they said they will try and find the correct glazing .

I was expecting the polycarbonate to be about 4 mm.

The clear polycarb on my greenhouse is quite thin, it's the opaque twinwall roofing polycarbonate that is thicker.

It is thin but once it's fitted in the grooves or held in place with the beading which gets panel pinned in, it should be secure.  It's more robust than standard greenhouse glass which breaks if you breathe on it.  I have both and I have only one broken one polycarb pane but lots of the glass ones. The polycarb can be holed or cracked but will not disintegrate like glass does so can be repaired if it's not too big a hole

The main problem ,was that when I put the panels onto the greenhouse,there was a gap of about 4 inches.
 
 Also the fixings for it were wrong .
