Title: Polystyrene packaging.

Saw someone on telly yesterday use unwanted Polystyrene packing for drainage in their containers. I have some bits of this left from my daughters Christmas pressy and found you can't put it in the recycle bin and I didn't like the idea of it in the bin so at least it has a use :)

make sure you use decent sized bits or it gets all claggy with the soil n other rubbish . the pearls are best  :wink: my cactus love it

I`ve use polesirene bits for years as especially in big pots it reduces the amount of compost and reduces the weight of the pot should you need to move it,as muntjac says use in big chunks,I reuse it in ant pots that get emptied but that is probably not advisable but I now avoid this packing now.
