Well the caterpillar's gone and found this at base of stalk, so presumably its him.
Just got to wait now, to find out what he is.

Wish I'd seen it doing the transformation act.
Strange though: the chrysalis is a lot smaller than the caterpillar.
Must keep an eye open to see what comes out
