I don't know if I can trust shops and nurseries anymore. My kiwi tree doesnt fruit for 2 years now 
Flowers just falling off. Maybe they lied that its self-fertile.
Lets see what happens to an apricot tree next summer. Got it from Focus this year.

Well, I did dive in to my nearest Aldi on Thursday. As with most folks, I found my store didn't have the full range, but I did grab five plants that seemed fairly healthy, if a bit spindly   

I got one each of red gooseberry (it looked really healthy, but I have some sofwood cuttings coming on as well...), loganberry (only one in the store), a grape (did I mention I've just put up my greenhouse  ?), a fig, and a goji. I couldn't get a tayberry....  They had lots of blueberries but I don't want to be messing with acid beds or containers yet.

Mind you, I did find a whopping great slug in one of the pots 

I also got a litre of pickling vinegar, as I have bit of a marrow surplus - and I've only got two plants!

As I was at work my OH grabbed a Red Grape, Red Gooseberry, Blueberry and Gogi berry for me.  At £1.99 each I was very happy, as others have noted there is no variety but at that price I am not that fussed.

Went in today and they had 1 gojiberry 1 red gooseberry and 1 grape vine left. Should have gone in on Thursday!!!!!
