Hi all.  Got a load of manure delivered to our plot last week.  Thought it might be good for the pumpkins and courgettes we are growing.  However, a quick flick through one of my gardening books said not to use fresh manure as the urea in it can damage some plants.  I don't know how old this stuff is, it smells a bit and was steaming lovely the other day.  I'd like to get it into my clay soil asap to help break it up but I'm worried I may do more harm than good :?  I know you shouldn't put root veg into freshly manured ground, is there anything else that I shouldn't manure? Help

You are welcome.  Incidentally, manure has got no urea.
