Wow Mrs B, that's some harvest!!  Don't have room in my small veg garden for any, so I'll be out with my bucket plundering the hedgerows when walking the dogs once they start to ripen round here  :)

It will be another month before we get any here.  I love them for jam and putting them in with an apple for a crumble.  It's a real autumn thing for me.

Oh, and there's more and more. There is one plus to being on an overgrown lotty. Loads of blackberries.

And I still have three large bags in the freezer from last year.
Apple and blackberry slump cake and all butter, apple and blackberry streusal cake and apple and blackberry cheesecake are my best sellers. :D

Emptied out the freezer today to discover two bags of blackberries from last year, when I was too unwell to do anything except poke them in the freezer.

Add to those today's harvest from the plot and hedgerow, I have the makings of a good few jars of jam now

or maybe jelly if I feel strong after my splashing accident yesterday

Of course you will feel strong enough.

Despite accidents and things going wrong the pull of the kitchen is too strong. :D

It also stops me grazing all day if my hands are busy in the kitchen.

The pan is ready to boil in the morning, and I shall also be making raspberry jelly, as the summer fruiting ones were small and not really suitable for using whole in desserts, so I stored them in the freezer --- they are thawed now and will be boiled up as well.

I shall try to find my second jelly bag

I shall be living dangerously with two on the go at once
