We have a problem with few of our eggs, maybe one or two eggs a week, they resemble rotten egg description in an article of this website, "What Causes Problems with Egg-Yolks and White".  We just want to know if these eggs are safe to eat at all.  They don't have foul smell neither they are stale, since they are freshly picked from the nest.  In the article it is stated that the shell membrane that protects the egg from microbial and fungal infection if damaged or malformed and get into the egg, it can cause rot in patches or whole. Is any of you have that problem? Can this egg still be eaten or should be discarded?  Need answer please.

I can't help I'm afraid.  Personally I would be reluctant to eat the eggs but that's just me.  I hope someone will come along and help soon.

Hi tojasholgy, I couldn't find an article like that on this site and I still don't think I understand the question.  More detail would be very helpful.

Are you saying that the membrane inside the shell is somehow malformed?

If there is no bad smell and the egg is fresh, in what way does it resemble a rotten egg?

We would love to help, but we need a clear description of the problem, otherwise we will just be guessing.
