this morning i found a malformed egg in the hen house. This is not so unusual and i think one of my chickens is not a good layer and she is very nervous. However, the yolk sac (at least that was what i thought it was) was blood red.

She's fine otherwise, if not a little less nervous now the top hen has gone broody and is off the scene.

should i be worried?

May just be a one off, but keep an eye on them all.
