Title: A chicken thank you?
Post by: themagicaltoad1 on September 18, 2010, 21:59
It's been a bit chilly in the mornings lately, and two of my girls have just finished moulting. So as a special treat yesterday I mixed them up a pot of mashed pellets, corn, mealworms, a bit of fishy cat food and some grapes. They were like vultures and demolished the lot in seconds! Today when I checked for eggs there were 5, 4 brown (one of them had obviously laid 2) and a blue. I've never had so many eggs in one go. Do you think they were saying thank you?

More likely trying to shed some weight or asking for an alka seltzer!

lol, they're certainly not overweight, they spend too much time running from the amorous advances of our cockerel!
