Good afternoon everyone,

two cobs from the same variety of sweetcorn, one has the kernals in straight lines up the cob, the other they are in a spiral (or helix).  Anyone got an idea why...?

This seemed more appropriate here than in the veggie section, but shift it if you wish.

I have noticed the variation before, but have never wondered why

Could it be that the silks are sort of twisted when you have a windy day?
