:) as i have posted before i have a soile problem and i was thinking will it be ok to give the ground a rest till next spring , keeping it weeded of course , i will be putting soe lime in it when it arrives next week fingers crossed .
i dont want to look like a slacker cos i see every one is doing cabbage and stuff, will leaving it alone over winter benifir the soil???

not to a great deal but it will give you a good start on planting in spring .if land is left fallow its usually a year or more  :wink:

'Not  to a great deal' is more than true, I don't know what soil problem you have, but if it is poor, you might be better of with some winter green manure. If you have the time to turn it in in the spring. :wink:

the problem is ellworm or may be even club root cos looking at the pics in my book both look the same , but ive posted a few questions and Mr muntjac seems to think its ellworm so when my lime from uk arrives the healing process can begin.sorry if im goimg on a bit just a bit exstatic at the mo and had a frw wine flavoured lemonades hic .
