Title: Where can I buy good quality bare root Yew plants for hedging

Just looking for recommendations really, based on quality and price.  I have been looking online and in the RHS plant finder at nurseries, but there's nothing like a recommendation.  Any ideas?  Thanks.  ;)

The Tree Shop at Cairndow, owned (I believe) by Ardkinglas Estate Nursery, do a good range of bare root hedging - its where we got ours - they might get yew if they don't have it listed.

Also, McLarens Nurseries in Renfrewshire supply the trade so should have favourable prices but you may have to purchase in larger quantities.

Thanks for info about the Tree Shop and McLarens.  I've been in touch with the Tree Shop but they don't have any bare root available - pity cos I'd like to buy from them.  Just sent an email to McLarens on your advice, although they don't list Yew on their website.  Thanks

A long way from where you live I know, so carriage may be prohibitive, but Hopes Farm Nurseries in Kent usually stock yew, if all else fails

ive had loads of stuff from these ppl are they are excellent, never had any plant fail, they always come well packaged and in good condition.
