sprayer maintenance
« on: March 22, 2010, 17:14 »
The pump action on my knapsack sprayer is quite stiff and has been so since using dithane on spuds last summer.

The stiffness is not caused by the linkage - its as though the seals in the pump have been coated with chalk - i am guessing that when mixed, dithane is a suspension rather than a solution. (think I'll go back to using bordeau)

I feel that the sprayer needs a good flush but water alone does not do the trick i wondered about trying washing up liquid?

Any experiences out there?
