seed storage

Once i have collected my seeds of various types,i store them in a gripseal bag,then they all go in a box,is this the correct way to do the seed storage?.Lillileaf :unsure:

Make sure there is no damp in the seeds at all, or they could go mouldy.  I use little white bags that I had years ago when we sold dinky donuts for my seeds, or if I think that say tomato seeds need drying off a bit more, I spread them out on kitchen towel, fold that up and put it in a little bag.  If the seeds are stuck to the kt when I need them, I just peel them off and sow them as normal.

I too prefer paper bags/envelopes for home saved seeds, just in case they are not quite dry.

I'd agree with not storing them in sealed plastic bags.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I use little brown envelopes that are classed as dinner money bags. If you are ever in llandudno, the shop is on bottom end of Mostyn Street it is a craft shop. Or you may have one on the island.

Thanks for the information,i will change to small paper envelopes,seeds could go mouldy if i have not let them dry out long enough.
