Title: Training Chickens

Hi, We are new owners of 4 faverolle chickens, what can we do to encourage them to use the pophole and ladder as our coop is off the ground. Or is it that we just need to give them a chance to get used to it.  TJC

Hi TJC and welcome, there are quite a few people on the chicken pages who have faverolles.  Never had to teach my chickens to use the pop hole and ladder they just did but if you put them on the ladder and gently push them through the pop hole for a few days they shold soon get the hang of it. Also you might want to try bribery  most chickens will do anything for a meal worm or two or even a small handfull of corn. The way to a chickens heart is through their stomach  :D
