flowering cherry tree
« on: April 20, 2009, 13:55 »
My flowering cherry which has flowered for some years now came into bud and then the leaves appeared and the buds are dropping off.  Is this a temperature problem at the wrong time or does it need feeding?  It is in the centre of a lawn. :(

I doubt it would need feeding, they might have been damaged by frost maybe.

I had the blossom on my cherry for weeks last year but this year it only lasted 3 days :(
We had a frost on the 2nd day and on the third the wind and rain blew it all off...my grandson (3) thought it was snowing :)
So we're just unlucky with the weather this year...sad but true
