Well I hope they don’t get sick. The white ones ( and the blue) contain phosphate as the active ingredient, not metaldehyde which I think has been banned.

Grow Your Own / Re: Slugs and Snails EVERYWHERE

I first put white slug killer down but that was eaten by magpies. I put blue ones down which work and are left alone by birds but dissolve quite quickly because of the rain. So I went into the garden with a bucket and rounded up all the slugs and snail I could find and it was an impressive amount and put a load of salt over them. And I keep on sprinkling blue colored slug killer. Luckily it’s only 4 euro for a can at our local pound shop.

I think you’re right. The pellets they picked were white and now I used blue ones which are left alone. But I wonder why they don’t get sick from slug killer?

We recorded 6.1 yesterday in the polytunnel and 6.2 in the greenhouse.

The wind has really picked up over the last few hours.  I think we've been lucky as we have been dry for the last couple of days despite the forecast.  We have plans for tomorrow but I expect them to go west.

Naughty, naughty, you don't get pud unless you've eaten your dinner. :D Chicken casserole with dumplings, not my choice but I've cleared up behind him and it is his birthday so I suppose he can have what he wants.
