Is this my first cucumber?
« on: June 20, 2012, 20:49 »
Or am I completely deluding myself?  :D

Sometimes my plants grow despite, not because of, what I do to them.

No that's it - hope it doesn't turn yellow and drop off - the first ones often do  :(

Just wish my cucumber plants looked as healthy as that. I've got two outside and two in the tunnel, and all of them look very small, pale and sorry for themselves. I've given them a squirt of seaweed feed but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

I didn't photograph my other dozen dead cucumber plants.......

That single cucumber must have cost me 25 quid. :tongue2:

I have 3 cucumber and 3 gerkins, two of each survived, and all produced tiny fruits like the pictured.

also my coca cola mini cupped + bubble wrapped early outdoored tomatos has produced three grape sized fruits as well!

with all the late frosts and soaking dumpping...the plants believed in sun!

good luck to them

You won't be able to keep up with them once they start coming though!
