poor hens foot

It looks as though it maybe bumblefoot. I would put bumblefoot into the search box. Sorry you only tend to know about things you have experience of. There should be some pictures for you to compare with your chooks foot to check my very inexperienced diagnosis' And then get advice on what to do. Good luck

the base of the foot is clean.
the hens have never had a muddy run, as i use wood chip.
when i looked again its like a large boil between her toes...
she is feeding well and drinking.
she just sits down a lot...
so it must be painful

the hen died today
took her to the vet this morning..

the vet said he would have to lance the (boil)..
which he did. the smell was awful ..
as he cleaned the puss away he found a piece of very thin wire
about a inch long (like in a wire brush).
hen was very stressed ....
he was cleaning it all up while i held her.....
and she just drifted off
