i know this is an oldish post but i have posted about one of my girls having a mucky bum but didnt get much response .

my girl is seeming ok and eating but i am still concerned about her i have washed her and yes shes looking red down below but i cant see signs of mites of any kind , at the mo i have shut her in the quantine run for a few hours so i can see what her poos look like differcult when theres so many birds in the run to tell whos done what , also shes being wormed at the mo but i wish she could have some frilly bum feathers like  the others    i am wandering if its worth trimming the feathers but how short to do u cut them .

I would do as the others have said and definatly not get her dispatched. She can live very happy with a dirty bum

i wont be dispatching her no way shes not ill  she just doesnt seem to know how to poo correctly thing is she never used to be like this

My pure breed has more runny poo than the hybrids and has a dirty bum.  They all eat the same pellets so just presume it's how she is.  I worm them all twice a year too.  I wouldn't worry as long as she's eating and happy.
