This eye catching quote headed up a good article about water butts in the gardening supplement of Saturday's Telegraph - (26th May)  - all useful stuff, except that it doesn't give any tips about what to do if you don't have a nearby roof/guttering!

You can't beat a big butt  :wink:
Try hanging a tarpaulin up on four posts over a butt with a hole in the middle (over the butt) . Should look a bit like a hammock when finished, bout the best I can come up with.
