Blustery showers and 5C

It rained overnight so was a little bit warmer but the wind chill has kept it close to freezing. Rest of the week looks to be very cold indeed.

Quite a strong NW breeze giving the 4.5C a 'feels like' of -1.2C 

Wouldn't be too bothered but I've got to go out and bring the bins in and dig a few parsnips for tea, and it now looks as if there's going to be a shower or two...

Just below freezing overnight, with a high of 6C at lunchtime.
Popped to the plot to harvest a swede and some potatoes from the shed and my fingers were so cold (forgot my gloves  ) that I popped a blood vessel in my little finger Ouch!

Once again it's storming - high winds gusting and rain hammering down - surprisingly warm according to the thermometer at 10ºC but it feels freezing.
It went really black towards evening - so the chickens decided to have an early night and headed up the stairs to perchland. I went up to tuck them in singing the night night song to them despite the rain. What me soppy? Don't be silly!

Still warm here as well, 9C and the wind has begun to gust quite strongly over the last half hour. Maybe the start of storm Caroline.

Rather wet and windy night followed by a dry and windy day, but getting colder all the time (11C at 0200, now 7C. ) Looks like it's much rougher in parts of Scotland though.

It stayed windy overnight and this morning, and we had a lot of rain. The wind stopped and so did the rain - now it feels like the calm before the storm IYKWIM?

More a lot of hail than snow but it's started sticking - just above freezing and the wind really got up in the night chucking large clay pots around the patio.
Whatever the weather, livestock need to be fed!

We're all snuggled up in a blanket of snow, just like a Christmas card.   At least my plot now looks as tidy as anyone else's.

Slight dusting of snow overnight, fine today but max temp only 2C, with a lazy wind giving a 'feel like' of -4.5C (don't actually need stats to know that's too cold for soldering peripheral items back on to brass monkeys!)
