We got a purple eglu classic for the new walk in run i made for the girls. How do your eglus fair in the heat and sun over time?

I've had mine 3.5 years and I've not noticed any fading. I've got the green one. I've not washed it in anything other than a little Fairy Liquid and hot water, and then only once a year (outside that is)

When I was thinking about having one I saw a lot of faded ones for sale so I guess it must depend on how you look after them and if they are in direct sunlight etc...

Yes, maybe they get scrubbed with chemicals or something but it does say not to use anything stronger than Fairy Liquid and I never have, even on the roosting bars

I have a 6 year old green eglu classic and it looks as good now as ever. I give it a wash a jet wash every 3 months or so and then pamper it like a baby - a nice rub over with baby oil and it gleams like new
