Mmmmm, peas  :D
I'm sure more of mine get eaten on the plot than make it to the pot.

I did not grow peas this year they have to be in very early in the year and my garden is very wet in February... but garden peas have been finished for weeks down here the are finished normally mid June it gets just too hot for them... although this year have been a lot cooler than normal.

Ive grown some peas for the first time this year. Around 5 plants. I have picked all the pods and had 5 portions of lovely peas. How many plants do others grow? Will i get any more pods grow?

I've got about fifty plants, though I sowed about 200 (terrible year I've had with germination of peas and beans ) . To be honest fifty plants is still no where near enough for a decent harvest to freeze.

wow 50 plants. How much space do you have for that? and what do you train them up or do they scrabble over the ground?

I grew mine up chicken wire, about 4 dozen plants in 4 rows of 12. Are growing well with plenty of pods showing.

Grow plenty of plants. About 2 inches apart is about right. If you get too many the fresh pea taste is still there if you freeze them. Read DD's advice in the ad at the bottom.

I planted six per foot , so roughly a six foot row got all fifty plants in and they are cropping really well at that.
Two six foot rows ( which is what I wanted really) gives you plenty of peas to eat on the plot and still some to take home to eat or freeze especially if you plant each row a couple of weeks apart  :)
