I'm gonna fill up me pots ready for sowing (note to self- and label them), have done some already, but it will be time saved come the off, and I can see how much room I need and hopefully make some temporary seed tray areas.

I'll go and make sure my seed spuds have not turned themselves upside down overnight.

Got to brave the paddy field though to get some weekend veg. Not going to bl**dy Tesc*.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I have been down my plot for 2 hours today digging but it is sooooo hard going.  There are weeds everywhere and when I bend over to pick them out of the soil a cold draft gets down my troosers  .  Dig, dig, dig dig, dig, dig and I still have a third of my plot to dig over.

EzLou, there's always shovels and such to sharpen, starter pots to scrub out, seeds to find and sort (and check dates of),  row covers to check over for tears and repairs, support sticks to sort, etc. They don't actually get your hands mucky on a cold miserable day, but they're just as important

To make you want to keep going, it really is worth it. Today I harvested: a few leeks, a head of romanesco, some parsnips, landcress and sugar loaf chickory leaves, root parsley with leaves, carrots, winter radish and J artichokes.

You do want to. 8)  :)

Ooooooh I can't wait.  One nice lady who keeps chooks on the plot near me said I was doing the right thing getting all the weeds out and that I will never let it get in the state it is in again.

I have also stopped going to slimming world as I am getting the exercise!!
