What a sad loss - he was a guitar legend!

I don't think there was anyone like him for getting so much out of his guitar, his style was just unique!

He was Patron of the Folly Animal Rescue Trust in Tonbridge Wells, and even kept his own aviary to care for injured birds until they could return to the wild. He lived not far from here in Wadhurst, but was never a man to require 'sleb' status - he was above all that!

Really will miss him!

Agree Mum it feels like all our greats are being permanently retired. I’ve been shocked recently with those younger than me suddenly going. Must make sure we enjoy ourselves despite the grim weather at present.

I've been told to look at his Ronnie Scott's Live performance as it was the best!

I just feel so sad that he's gone, I can easily remember The Yardbirds belting out their songs on the jukebox in The Duke Of Marlborough pub in Ashford, (now gone) and being blown away by their skills and fabulous presence!

I got half-way through 'Goodbye porkpie hat', and just couldn't go on watching this morning... :...0(

A great loss, I heard it on the radio in the car this morning & immediately rang to tell hubby as he was a great favourite of his. He seemed such a nice bloke & not touched by his success apart from his collection of cars. R.I.P

I loved the Yardbirds.  He was such a talented musician.    My thoughts and prayers go to his family. 

Did he play with Johnnie Depp a few months back  ?    Mrs Bouquet

Yes Johnny Depp wen on tour with him following recording an album 18 with him I believe. Not heard it though.
