Got a lovely banty egg today

Our little silver banty hen was making a lot of "I have just laid an egg" noises this morning and when I went to investigate found our first banty egg for about 3 months - really looking forward to it with my salad tomorrow. The really funny bit was the way that our old red hen, who has not laid an egg for about two years, was making nearly as much noise - just keeping her friend company.
