called In to our local nursery the other day bought a couple of Christmas trees  about 3ft tall I large pots for £4.95 I though that was good value anyway I noticed they where selling bags of eating potatoes £8.50 25k there was a bag opened and they looked quite good white  medium size potatoes


being interested in what variety they where i looked on the bag and it said Aurostar it a variety I'm not familliar  with so looked it up on the potato base and it looks like its bred in Holland  by Set  there not  much info on this particular variety


does anyone know anything  about this variety or been growing Aurostar it will be interesting to see if this variety will be available as a seed potato

Eurostar potatoes from Stet?  https://www.stet-potato.com/en/eurostar bred for chips mainly it seems

It doesn't look as if it will be tested for selling as seed potatoes, for us, as it has a very long dormancy (they take a long while to chit)

thanks MUM for that info there is another variety out there that is much the same that I grow for baked and chips called Record Aurostar must be on the same lines
