I use it when planting out just a sprinkle round the planting hole and water in .
Gave the onions a couple of feeds once they started growing along with the brassicas
I don't think it matters much it is good for all plant .i will be corrected if I am wrong as a slow release food it is better for healthy plants some other that are quick release will get the plants off to a good start but depleat very quickly .

It's a very useful general purpose fertilizer and should be beneficial to most crops. It's a bit like an organic version of Growmore.

Nothing at all --although it is not something to use alone for blueberries as it would not maintain an acid soil, it is not harmful either.

It's good stuff, but foxes appreciate its qualities in a different way (they think it's a tasty buried dinner, with inevitable consequences!)  :nowink:
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I sprinkled some around a pot of garlic I'd planted and noticed my dogs were very interested in it.  The next day I found they had dug down to the garlic but I guess the strong smell from the sprouting garlics deterred them.
