Yep - grow it in trays for them.
Little One can't have too much it gives her the runs :( so only now & then they get it

If you don't have grass available this is a good idea and much safer than the dubious practise of giving them cuttings which can lead to impacted and/or sour crop.  both serious conditions if not spotted in time.  Well rooted fresh grass will be pecked in small bits and is less likely to be swallowed in long lengths.

I chap on the allotment who used to keeps chickens told me the same thing yesterday.
I'm supposed to be building a run etc on the allotment for them, as the other half wants them up there. I have got quite attached to them here so am making sure i'm doing other jobs around the house to prolong the job  :wub:
