Cheap sugar search is on.
« on: June 27, 2011, 15:14 »
Does anyone know of an  EASY TO NAVIGATE  comparison webpage / site that gives all (or most) of the sources for sugar?

I try but just seem to go round in circles.  I have one that deals with 'the big four' but none of the others.     Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Are there as many as four? I only know of two.

One is British and sourced from beet and the other gets its from cane.
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

I make jams, chutneys, pickles, to give to friends and also for little engineering jobs carried out as fags are verboten and spirits are too pricey.

I also wine by the 5 gallon bucket at a session and three or four types on the go at any one time.  Yep, I need Tons and tons.    Cheers,   Tony.

I think the big four refers to the supermarkets.

We've got some cheapy shops in Boston and Spalding, like QD's, Scooby Do's, Home Bargains, sometimes Aldi and Lidl have it cheaper too!

I didn't see any 6.1p per 100g, but I did buy enough sugar at 6.7p per 100g to qualify for 5p off alitre of fuel and a gurt wodge of club card points so I think that ducks it under the 6p barrier?     Cheers,   Tony.

Do they do different prices in different places then? It was only in the 2Kg bags. Glad you got your 5p per litre voucher!

Tescos price according to store location...bit of a swizz really  :(

When I visit my son on the Isle of Sheppey the prices are always more expensive than Ashford a bit of a 'captive audience' there I think with, up to recently, no other supermarket just a small Co-op for competition ::)
