We have germination!!! Now with 1st photo
« on: May 07, 2011, 13:35 »
How amazed am I?
I am amazed it worked, never thought it would but I had a fettle last neet and there it was, a little sprut.
Now the hard bit, to try and get some food of it.

I will post a photo as soon as it pokes through so you lot can guess the plant.
A clue is.... you can eat part of it  :tongue2:
No guesses before the photos arrive.

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

I also think it's a peanut!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

And the outsider wins  :D
Indeed a peanut, this is little legs experiment for this year, we have 6 or so that have germinated, will be growing in a large pot in the greenhouse.
just amazed it germinated. No special seed, just a bag of monkey nuts from the veg shop.

Epona
How did you get on yours?
In my research they say 120 days around 80f, somehow I cant see it but you never know.

Did you grow outdoors or in and did you get some nuts?

lol the plant above ground was magnificent......the 'crop' pretty poor! hahaha i think i had one peanut but it was a good experiment, i had it outdoors, but i would say go for indoors i would if i did it again, i have one of those plastic four tier cheapo things in my greenhouse, i would if i were going to try again put it in there with door closed to keep the temp up good luck with it and i'd lke to know how you get on with it  :D
