Hello everyone, my hen started to sit on eggs from today i will move her onto other eggs i have been collecting. She'll be in the shed tomorrow. I was going to spray her with frontline shes got bit of lice, should i spray on her before moving her in shed tomorrow or should wait till shes done with hatching?

Another question, should i carry on feeding her dodson pellets and mixed corn as treats? Or should i change her diet.

spray her now, broody hens can become very prone to lice so she needs treating asap. Check her again before the chicks hatch as you don't want lice on them.
Keep her on layers pellets and just a tiny amount of corn if you wish and then change her onto chick crumb when the eggs start to hatch

Make sure you part the feathers at the back of her neck and spray on the skin.  You don't want her to be able to get any whilst preening.

I had to treat both of my broodys legs for pressure sores once the chicks were hatched. I used vaseline every few days and they are looking much better now.  Don't treat whilst brooding as it will conaminate the eggs.
